Format
Here is an overview of how a meeting is run.
Introductions
Each member introduces themselves and gives a short overview of their past spiritual experiences and/or religious background. The focus is on personal interpretation as this is the spice we are looking for. What was your journey like up to this point in time.
Rounds
After the introcutions, each member is invted to introduce and speak about a topic of current significance to them. A "spiritual experience" (with full vagueness of what that means), a particular book they are reading, a question about something, or just to share something they find important.
Carousel
That's the basics. Everyone introduces themselves, and then we share. The rest of the time is spent on iterations of the "rounds". The next time you speak it can be back to the topic you introduced, a riff on what someone else brough up, or something that "just came to" you (which can happen in these gatherings).
It goes until it doesn't
There will be a time keeper and a specific period of time will be chosen before each round. This is to make sure everyone who is present has a chance to offer what they brought.
If you bring something, you will be fed
This is a sharing group. If you have nothing to offer, that's OK. Sometimes we all need to just listen and belong silently. However, it is encouraged that you at least identify things you find valuable - in the past or present. Even this minimal offer can help nourish all of the group members.
